The Fluke 9040 is suitable for measuring phase rotation wherever three-phase supplies are used to power motors, drives and electrical systems. The Fluke 9040 is a rotating field indicator and provides a clear indication of the three-phase voltage and phase rotation direction via an LCD display, so that the correct connections can be determined. The phase sequence can be quickly determined and it has a voltage range (up to 700 V) and a frequency range suitable for commercial and industrial applications. The measuring probes supplied with the instrument have a variable clamping range to ensure safe contact, especially with industrial sockets.
