All dogs instinctively pull on a regular dog leash. The counter-pressure from the leash causes the dog to pull more and more.
The Gentle LeaderR prevents this behavior in 3 unique steps:
. The pressure from the leash when pulling is now transferred to the back of the neck. This relaxes the dog; this natural reaction is also created when a mother takes a puppy by the scruff of the neck.
. The slight pressure of the Gentle LeaderR on the bridge of the nose creates a reflex that immediately relaxes the dog.
