Everywhere they were inspired by nature and noticed how their senses were heightened by the intense colours, the unfamiliar sounds and the tantalising smells. Marcel's daughters knew that their father had been making cleaning products for years. One day, the youngest asked: "Why does it always smell so nice in the forest, and why do those cleaning products always smell so fake?" A simple question - but a wake-up call for Marcel. It's strange that there are so few cleaning products that actually smell nice. And even stranger that the 'clean' in 'cleaning products' stops at the front door. Most cleaning products aren't exactly making the world a cleaner place. Surely there had to be a better way... Marcel got to work – searching for natural ingredients for his own soap series: Marcel's Green Soap. At first, it was just for fun, making a few bottles for home use. But it quickly got out of hand, and the soap was mass-produced. Marcel found a soap factory in Utrecht willing to collaborate with him to produce his products. And together with a few old friends and colleagues, Marcel developed a wonderful line of cleaning products – a soap series, so to speak. Every Marcel soap promises three things: it smells fantastic, it cleans incredibly well, and it's 100% natural. Marcel's Green Soap is a traditional Dutch startup. Their goal is to make laundry and cleaning products much more sustainable. This includes the formulation, the packaging, and ultimately, the companies behind it.
