- By turning the front section of the filter, you can choose whether the water is reflective or whether you want to photograph "the depths." This filter is also useful for photographing snow, plants, or through a window.
- A circular polarizing filter can also be used for landscape photography, where rotating the filter can bring out different shades of blue and give a cloudy sky more contrast.
- It is generally not recommended to use a circular polarizing filter indoors or at night.
- The filter has an exposure extension factor (slowing down) of 1.5 to 2.0 stops, which is automatically included in the camera's metering.
