To prevent this and to extend the life of your pan, we have the following tips: Avoid overheating For best results, preheat the pan on a low to medium heat for a few seconds before adding oil or butter. Do not heat the pan to the maximum temperature of your hob, this is not necessary due to the excellent heat distribution and will damage the pan. Avoid burning fats Fats start to carbonise when they are overheated and this will damage the coating of the pan. The rate at which fat carbonises depends on the type of oil or butter you use. Check the packaging of your fat to see if it suits your cooking method. Avoid using metal kitchen utensils We recommend using kitchen utensils made of nylon, silicone or wood. The non-stick coating is not resistant to cutting or sharp objects (such as knives or forks). Do not tap or hit the edge of the pan. This can result in chips or cracks in the ceramic non-stick coating. Wash the pan with a soft sponge or cloth We recommend never cleaning the pans with a scouring pad or dishwashing brush. This is because the nylon bristles can damage the non-stick coating. Use pan protectors when stacking the pans on top of each other.
