Description

De Europese Boomkikker wordt maar drie tot vier centimeter groot. Hoewel hij erg klein is, is hij niet gemakkelijk over het hoofd te zien. Hij is heldergroen, alleen zijn buik is lichtbruin tot crèmekleurig. Een opvallende donkerbruine streep loopt van de platte, brede snuit langs het oog en over de hele zijkant. De boomkikker is hier altijd gemakkelijk aan te herkennen. Een knappe kerel!De Europese Boomkikker ziet er ondernemend uit. Gelukkig heeft hij zijn baan als weerman in een jampot al lang geleden opgegeven. Dat was niets voor hem. Ze zitten veel liever op regenachtige bladeren of gebruiken de klevende schijven aan hun poten om behendig langs waterplanten omhoog te kruipen. Op dit moment is hij erg tevreden. Met zijn buik vol knapperige vliegen geniet hij van de zon. Kwak!
