This oil pastel set with 12 colors offers a good basic palette of colors to make different drawings. The pastels are conveniently packed with a plastic tray and cardboard sleeve to keep them neatly together, so perfect to have in your studio or to take them with you. The oil pastels are also available in sets of 24 and 36.

Talens Art Creation Water -soluble oil pastels are soft, cool pastels that are easy to mix and apply, just like regular oil pastels. However, the difference is that you can mix these pastels with water to make even softer color transitions and make the intense colors a little more transparent for a watercolor effect.
Apply water to (parts of) your paper with a wet brush, wet the pastels before applying them or use a wet brush to remove color from the pastel and apply it to your paper. Create even colors by smoothing the texture of your applied dry oil pastel strokes with a wet brush for streak -free color mixes and transitions.
