This insulates the bath like a thermos. The cooling of the bath water through the bath walls is then negligible compared to the cooling through the water's surface. Because the insulation keeps the water warm for longer, you don't have to refill the bath water with hot water. Bathing in pleasantly warm water with the thermal cushions uses up to 33% less energy. The short thermal pad goes between the legs against the bottom of the bath. The long thermal pad goes all the way around the bath wall. The tape can be used to seal the thermal pads and stick them to the (smooth) exterior of the bath (see drawing, numbers 1 through 4). Finally, the two pads are glued together (no. 5) and to the legs to create a leak-proof unit. The standard package is suitable for baths up to a length of 180 cm and a width of 80 cm (maximum circumference 5.2 meters). The large package is suitable for a circumference of up to 6 meters. The double-sided tape will not stick to baths with a rough exterior (such as fiberglass). To attach the thermal cushions to this type of bath screen, foil adhesive is required. This makes the bath screen (partially) self-adhesive. For a bath, a 100 ml jar is sufficient. Hot tubs: The standard package is not suitable for hot tubs due to the large number of tubes. Without insulation, the water in a hot tub cools faster than in a regular bath, so insulation is especially important. The double-walled reflective principle can also be applied to these baths. First, reflective fluorescent tape is applied to the bath screen. The tubes/hoses can be made reflective with bandage foil or aluminum tape. Finally, the entire assembly is wrapped with a thermal sheet.
