Virbac Dermacool Hot Spot 50 ml is a cooling, drying, anti-itch, and soothing agent for wet eczema, including hot spots. This reduces biting and scratching by the animal and prevents further trauma. Menthol has a cooling effect; witch hazel has a drying astringent effect, and parachlorometaxylenol has disinfectant properties. Propylene glycol and glycerol have a soothing and non-irritating effect. Spherulites are layered microspheres that provide a delayed release of active ingredients, thus ensuring longer-lasting effectiveness. Chitosanide is a biodegradable biopolymer that bonds with the spherulites to the skin and hair and has a moisture-regulating effect.
