GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION • Keep your work area clean and well lit. Clutter and unoccupied work areas can result in accidents. • Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, where flammable liquids are stored, or where gas or dust is present. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust and fumes. • Keep children and bystanders away from your work area while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control. • Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Do not modify the plug. Do not use adapters with grounded power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets reduce the risk of electric shock. • Protect power tools from rain and moisture. Water entering a power tool increases the risk of electric shock. • When operating power tools outdoors, use only extension cords suitable for outdoor use. Using an extension cord designed for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock. • If operating a power tool in a damp environment is unavoidable, use a residual-current device (RCD). This reduces the risk of electric shock. • Exercise caution while working and handle power tools with care. Never operate a power tool while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. A moment of inattention may result in serious injury. • When handling rough materials and when changing tools, wear appropriate personal protective equipment and clothing, such as hearing protection, safety glasses, a dust mask for dusty jobs, and gloves. • Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A tool or wrench left attached to a rotating part of the appliance can cause injury. • Wear appropriate clothing; do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves away from rotating parts. Loose clothing, jewelry, and long hair can become entangled in rotating parts. • Always use the guard with the vacuum cleaner. • Do not operate a power tool with a broken switch. A tool that can no longer be switched on or off is dangerous and must be repaired. Keep unused power tools away from children. Do not allow persons unfamiliar with the tool or persons who have not read the instructions to use the tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of inexperienced persons. Before starting work, check that the appliance and the tools are functioning properly. Never work with damaged or blunt tools. Have your power tools repaired only by a qualified person. Request original replacement parts to ensure the safety of the power tool. Unplug the plug from the socket and/or remove the battery pack from the tool before adjusting the settings of your appliance or changing parts. Unintentionally restarting power tools can cause accidents. Position the machine table correctly before installing the power tool. Safe mounting of the table is essential to prevent it from collapsing. Securely attach the power tool to the machine base before using it. If the power tool moves on the machine base, you may lose control of it. • Place the machine table on a firm, level, and horizontal surface. If the machine table can shift or wobble, the tool and workpiece cannot be manipulated safely and steadily. • Do not overload the machine table or use it as a ladder or step. Overloading or standing on the table can shift the table's center of gravity upward, causing it to tip over. • Do not process any materials other than wood or easily workable plastics. Exception: It is permitted to process easily workable metals (such as aluminum), but only with the jigsaw and a suitable saw blade. • Loose splinters, chips, and similar residues in the area near an active saw blade must not be removed by hand! • The machine being used must comply with DIN EN 60745-1. Equipment manufactured after 1994 must bear the CE mark. • Do not saw by hand without a guide; use the parallel or angle guide. • Saw blades must not be slowed down by pushing on them from the side after the drive has been activated! • Use the tools only for their intended purpose. • Use only faultless saw blades; the edge must not be thicker and the width of the teeth must not be narrower than the thickness of the wedge. • Check regularly that all screws are securely tightened! • Never use your workbench in an improper manner or for purposes other than those intended! • Remove all unnecessary objects from the workbench. • Do not use the machine for cutting firewood. • Do not use the machine table for processing logs. • The power tool must only be switched on and off using the safety switch. • Use only the supplied switch clamp to permanently set the appliance's switch in the "ON" position. • Always use a push stick when processing small or narrow workpieces. • Hang the push stick on the supplied bracket (fig. 8) when not in use. • Ensure the two pivoting brackets for attaching the table legs are correctly positioned, with the safety bolts inserted into the holes in the side section, and that the serrated screws are securely tightened (Fig. 15.3). • Before starting work, ensure the hand-held circular saw, wood router, or jigsaw is properly secured to the machine plate, that the machine plate is anchored in the slot on the machine table, and that the hexagon key is inserted for additional security (Fig. 17.3). • Do not use the machine outdoors in the rain. • Observe the maximum permitted workpiece dimensions (see technical data).
