De pomp is ook niet geschikt voor het pompen van drinkwater of water voor aquariums. Er mogen geen levensmiddelen en geen vloeistoffen met een temperatuur boven 40 °C worden gepompt. Gebruik een biologisch afbreekbaar multipurpose vet of smeerolie voor het nasmeren van de pomp.
