The team of product designers and engineers from Smith has been designed for the elite user and has developed this top product for two years with informed insights of remarkable Rocky Mountain Enduro athletes Remi Gauvin, Andreane Lanthier Nadeau and Jesse Melamed. The team sponsored by Smith was crucial in formulating and refining the construction, the design of the helmet, the characteristics and the aesthetics of the DH certified (ASTM F1952) endurohelm. The Mainline bicycle helmet is available in three colors, including a version inspired by Sea to Sky, which will be worn throughout the season through the Rocky Mountain Enduro team. The Mainline, which expands Smiths collection of progressive protection, consists of a proven, lightweight in-Mold construction with full Koroyd® coverage for an integrated skeleton structure and full ventilated protection. The addition of a multi-directional impact protection system (MIPS®) lining reduces the rotational forces to which the brain is exposed during oblique impacts on the head. Smith-Helmen are made to absorb direct shocks efficiently, and when they are combined with MIPS, the helmets of the head are separated by a low friction slide so that the head can slide during a collision and reduce the number of cases of traumatic brain injury. The Mainline has 21 optimized ventilation openings and uses internal air ducts that are combined with open inlet and exhaust ports for maximum ventilation and breathability, while Airevac ™ channels promote the air flow to prevent cover with safety glasses. With each helmet, three sets of cheek cushions with a unique size, two sets of crown cushions with a unique size and two unique neck rolls are supplied for a good, adapted fit. The performance pads all consist of hybrid X-static® and XT2® antibacterial materials. All components can easily be removed for cleaning. Extra functions include an adjustable visor and a chin band with D-Ring.
