Product Description The Mavic Crossmax in 27.5" is an entry-level wheelset for cross-country bikes with 6-bolt disc brakes. It is based on 25 mm wide, tubeless-compatible aluminium rims and has hubs with self-adjusting bearings. The wheels were laced with 24 contactless crossed steel spokes at the front and rear. Maxtal rims are 30% stiffer and weigh less than other aluminium rims. SUP SUP means Soudé Usiné Process and creates a much more stable and smoother rim joint. The rim joint is welded and then milled over to achieve an even braking surface. SUP prevents any brake judder and facilitates spoking and centring of the wheel. Infinity Hub Design Infinity hubs from Mavic allow contactless lacing, which prevents noise development under load. At the same time, this design is lighter, stiffer and easier to maintain.
