Product Description Shimano SH-EX900 Explorer shoes - robust, weatherproof and designed for walking comfort The Shimano SH-EX900, called EX9 for short, is a robust touring shoe for SPD pedals and has been equipped with two precisely adjustable BOA L6 dials. It is slightly higher, which generally improves stability, and has a performance membrane from GORE-TEX®, so your feet stay dry even in adverse weather conditions. The lightweight, extra-grippy Ultread EX outsole of the EX9 provides traction when riding and walking. Walking comfort is further enhanced by the generous fit and a foam-cushioned midsole. The perfectly fitting upper combines durable synthetic leather with breathable mesh, which comes from a recycling process. Shimano has positioned the cleat mount on the midfoot, which is more comfortable especially when the cadence is not too fast. In the forefoot, you benefit from a wide contact area that reduces the clacking of the cleat when walking and improves grip. To prevent the BOA system from loosening unintentionally when it comes into contact with obstacles, it has been secured with a plastic guard.
