Specifically required for all Ford models (petrol and diesel engines, including those with particulate filters) from model year 2009 onwards. It is also required for vehicles with 2.2-Duratorq TDCI engines and is fully backward compatible with all current Ford diesel engines, with the exception of models equipped with injection pumps (Galaxy I and II) and the Ford KA (diesel and petrol engines from 2009).
