De Boya BY-F8OD Omni-Directioneel Lavalier Microfoon is een uitermate geschikte microfoon voor het opnemen van stemgeluid bij video's. Het geluid wordt omnidirectioneel opgevangen wat betekent dat geluiden van alle kanten worden opgevangen. Dit maakt de BY-F8OD juist ook geschikt voor video's of interviews waarbij de geïnterviewde beweegt. Het geluid wordt dan ook nog goed opgenomen als zijn/haar hoofd weg draait. Door zijn robuuste metalen constructie kan de BY-F8OD tegen een stootje. De BY-F8OD werkt met een AA batterij (niet meegeleverd).
