Mount Cerro Torre is the most difficult mountain on earth for alpinists to climb and also the greatest challenge for alpinists. Roccia, an experienced alpinist, and Martin, also a very skilled climber, have found each other and together they combine all their strength and experience to conquer the Cerro Torre. The first expedition to the top of the deadly Cerro Torre soon ends with the death of Roccia's partner, but Martin claims he has reached the top. However, he has no proof. Under pressure from public opinion, he has to climb the dangerous Cerre Rocca again. Once again he is challenged by Roccia and the two begin a blood-curdling climb to the top with a fatal outcome.
