After installing new brake pads, it's important to bed them in to extend their lifespan. Bedding in new disc brake pads is simple: gently pull the brake lever while riding, ensuring the pads make contact with the brake disc. Ride for about 100 meters at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour (15.5 mph), then brake harder at the end to reduce your speed to around 5 kilometers per hour (3 mph). Then, gradually increase your speed while braking lightly. Repeat this 10 to 12 times to ensure your new brake pads are properly bedded in.
