- After installing the new brake pads, it is very important that the pads are bedded in; this extends their lifespan.
- How to improve the lifespan of your disc brake pads:
- While riding, keep the brake lever slightly pulled and make sure the brake pads contact the brake rotor.
- Drive for about 100 meters at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour and brake a little harder at the end to reduce the speed to about 5 kilometers per hour.
- Then slowly increase your speed while braking lightly.
- Repeat this 10 to 12 times to ensure that your new brake pads are properly bedded in.
