The number of watts is the energy consumption of the lamp. The number of watts is the consumption per hour. A 60W lamp that is on for 10 hours consumes 60 x 10 = 600 watt hours. What are lumens? Lumen is a unit of measurement for light output. The higher the number of lumens, the more light the lamp produces. This has nothing to do with the color of the light. To compare lamps, it is best to compare the number of lumens. The higher the number of lumens, the higher the amount of light.
