It is made of tempered glass and features a multi-coating, making the lens moisture, scratch, and dirt resistant. The macro achromatic lens shortens the focal length, allowing you to photograph objects closer to the lens. Ideal for close-ups and product photography. The high ring prevents unwanted light and reflections. Compared to non-achromatic lenses (regular macro filters), this DHG (Digital High Grade) achromatic lens offers increased sharpness and extra detail with difficult objects such as glass and jewelry. Extending the exposure time is not necessary.

Where X is the minimum focal length of your lens in meters, and D is the diopter number on the Close-up lens.
Here is a calculation example:
You have a lens that can focus from 55 centimeters and you are using this close-up filter with a diopter of +5. In this case, the calculation is:
0.55 : ( 5 * 0.55 + 1 ) and this is the same as
0.55 : ( 2.75 + 1 ) or
0.55 : 3.75 = 0.146 meters, so 14.6 centimeters
