Lead compounds in fuel act as an anti-knock agent and reduce wear on valve seats. Older engines, due to their design, still rely entirely or partially on leaded petrol. ERC Lead Substitute replaces the lubricating properties of the lead compounds in leaded fuels, forms a protective layer on the valve faces and valve seats, and additionally protects against deposits on the valves and spark plugs.
