Schwalbe's new Tubeless valves: the matching valve lengths and technical details—wider valve base, shorter conical shape, Allen key, larger O-ring—simplify tubeless installation. The new valve trio offers a suitable length for all common rim heights. "Where a valve extender was previously necessary, there was also the risk of air loss at the valve extension. This is eliminated with the new valves, which are manufactured from a single piece," explains Johannes Binner of Schwalbe Marketing. Further new details also simplify tubeless installation for mountain bikers, road cyclists, and touring cyclists. For example, Schwalbe product developers have increased the inner diameter of the valve base from 2.4 to 4 millimeters, so that the air and latex can now flow significantly better through the valve. This minimizes the risk of a blockage in the valve due to crystal particles in the latex. Other advantages are the Allen key and the shortening of the conical shape: with an Allen key, the valve base can be fitted more securely into the rim without screwing it in too far. With a shorter conical valve base, the valve base can be recessed even deeper into the valve hole. This minimizes the valve base height and leaves more room in the rim for the Bead wires and installation becomes easier. The new, large O-ring also ensures this. This allows the valve to optimally adapt to different rim shapes, while preventing damage to the rim from the valve nut. The previously required spacer ring is no longer necessary. "Until now, some cyclists and bike retailers were still somewhat hesitant about tubeless technology. With our new tubeless valves, handling and installation of tubeless tires have become significantly easier," summarizes Johannes Binner. Not only the technology, but also the design is impressive: the high-quality, refined design of the valve perfectly complements the stylish, sporty bike.
